What is the Parade of Homes?
The NIBCA Parade of Homes is a highly anticipated event in which expert builders showcase their finest work to the public. The Parade offers a unique opportunity for attendees to experience the latest trends and innovations in home design and construction. From sleek and modern to traditional and elegant, each home is crafted with exceptional attention to detail and quality.
The Parade of Homes is organized by the North Idaho Builders and Contractors Association (NIBCA) and provides a platform for local builders to connect with potential customers and industry professionals while showcasing their expertise in construction and design. With the support of NIBCA, the Parade of Homes has become a much-awaited annual event, attracting visitors from across the region who are interested in discovering the latest in home design and construction.

Local realtors will be judging for the Realtor Choice Award again this year. The Realtor Choice is awarded to the Parade home that offers the best quality relative to its price in the current market.
What is the Pet Parade of Homes?
The North Idaho Building Contractors Association Education Committee is hosting a fun FREE event for all kids grades K-8.
Grades K-2: Create a detailed drawing of your favorite pet home
Grades 3-5: Original Design build with LEGO bricks
Grades 6-8: Cardboard construction build with Make-Do kit
The Pet Parade of Homes is back again this year! Join us at the NIBCA Homebase Showcase to experience the creativity and craftsmanship of our Kid Constructors. This display showcases unique pet homes created by kids from our community, reflecting their love for their furry friends, and challenges them creatively and intellectually.
Young builders in Grades K-2 were invited to showcase their artistic skills by creating a detailed drawing of their favorite pet home. Students in Grades 3-5 could take on the challenge of bringing their original designs to life using LEGO bricks, allowing for an imaginative twist on pet housing. For those in Grades 6-8, the task involved constructing a pet home with a Make-Do kit, made from cardboard, which encourages both innovation and recycling. Remember, pet homes can be designed for any animal—so we really encouraged the kids to let their imagination run wild!
Judging will take place during the NIBCA Parade of Homes, with prizes awarded in several categories for each grade level.
Judging categories are: Drawing Appearance, Drawing Content, Model Appearance, Research Solution, Design Process, Creativity and Innovation, Challenges, and Participant Questionnaire.
All entries will be on display for everyone to view during the event.

What is the Homebase Showcase?
Discover the heart of the Parade of Homes at the North Idaho Building Contractors Association’s (NIBCA) Homebase Showcase! Located at 1928 N 4th St in Coeur d’Alene, this exciting community event is your gateway to learning about NIBCA’s impact and how it supports the local community.
As a prominent trade association, NIBCA represents approximately 450 businesses across the residential development, construction, and remodeling sectors. Proudly, NIBCA is one of 650 local home builder associations across the United States, strengthening our collective impact.
At the showcase, don’t miss the Pet Parade of Homes, where you can marvel at creative pet homes crafted by local kids. Cast your vote for your favorite design and support our young, aspiring builders. Featuring delicious free food and a bounce house for the kids, the NIBCA Homebase Showcase is your opportunity to connect and learn more about the significant role we play in building our community.
Participate in the House Hunt, a delightful scavenger hunt you complete by attending houses in the Parade of Homes. Collect 3 or more stamps and turn your card in at the NIBCA office by October 2, 2024, for a chance to win one of four $500 Visa gift cards.
